Q. Where do I create an OpenAI Admin API Key?

platform.openai.com → gear icon (Settings) → Organization section in the left menu → "Admin keys". This is separate from the regular "API keys" page. You need a key starting with sk-admin- ; keys starting with sk-proj- won't work (the app detects this automatically).

Q. Where do I create an Anthropic Admin API Key?

console.anthropic.com → Settings → Admin keys (direct URL: console.anthropic.com/settings/admin-keys). You need a key starting with sk-ant-admin-. Some accounts don't have Admin API access — the app works with OpenAI alone in that case.

Q. Where are my API keys stored? Are they ever transmitted?

Keys are stored on your Mac only. The app talks exclusively to official OpenAI / Anthropic APIs — nothing is ever sent to Konsumpsy's servers or anywhere else.

Q. What's the difference between the trial and the Free tier?

You get full Pro features free for 14 days after first launch. After that, the Free tier works forever but without the menu bar widget, alerts, or the 30-day trend, and the model breakdown is limited to top 3. Buy a license ($300 one-time) to unlock Pro anytime.

Q. How many Macs can I use with one license?

Up to 2 Macs. When switching machines, go to Settings → LICENSE → "Deactivate this Mac" on the old one first. If you no longer have the old Mac, contact us with your purchase email.

Q. Can I get a refund?

Yes — full refund within 14 days of purchase, no questions asked. Contact us with the email you used at checkout.

Q. Do updates cost extra?

One year of feature updates is included. After that, the version you purchased keeps working forever.

Q. How does the referral program work?

Share the personal link (konsumpsy.app/desktop?ref=...) shown on your purchase page. Anyone who buys through it automatically gets $102 off (limited time) — no code to type in. You earn $50 per referral, cashed out as $150 at 3 referrals and another $150 at 6 (PayPal, up to $300 total).

Q. The app doesn't quit when I close the window

That's by design. Closing the window keeps the app in your menu bar, monitoring costs and firing alerts. To quit completely, use the menu bar icon → Quit.

Q. Is there a Windows version?

macOS only for now (13 Ventura or later, Apple Silicon / Intel). Windows is on the roadmap.
